The BADER Consortium Administrative Core is housed at the University of Delaware. Rachel Strickland is the director of the administrative core.

The administrative core offers support in the following areas:

  • grant proposal development
  • management of personnel recruitment
  • managing BADER omnibus Collaborative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) activities
  • arranging travel for MTF and BADER staff to support collaboration, research and team building
  • oversight of subcontract process
  • oversight of financials and budget
  • manage procurement actions

Since its inception, the Administrative Core has successfully:

  • created the omnibus CRADA and onboarded 12 institutions to the mechanism;
  • established and secured approval of seven clinical research projects and one core project;
  • created travel policy and supported travel for BADER and MTF affiliates;
  • executed two BADER-funded calls for proposals
  • established partnerships with NIH and VA
  • Partnered with EACE to establish research focus areas
